General Race Information:

Bike shuttles will be provided by GBE on race day. RACERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SHUTTLE THEMSELVES RACE DAY. ASRA Mammoth Bar OHV area charges $10.00 per car to get in so please try to car pool. T-Shirt included with entry fee.

Food:

A free BBQ will be provided to all racers.

Rules, information and Q&A for the DH series:

Q1: I am new to your events. What is some general information that can help before I show up. A1: Helmets are mandatory. It is highly recommended to have body protection too. Make sure you are on time for your shuttle and start time. You will receive a wristband at pre-registration. Any racer without a wristband will not be allowed on the course and will not get timed or scored.
Q2: Will there be any practice days before the events? A2: ASRA Mammoth Bar OHV area is open year round, depending on weather conditions. There will be NO practice on race day.
Q3: Will there be RV or trailer camping? A3: There is no over night camping in the OHV area. Day use only.
Q4: Does the California State Park charge an entrance fee? A4: Yes. $10.00. Try to call pool to save a few bones.
Q5: Do we need a race license? A5: No
Q6: Will the course be marked a few days before the event? A6: Yes. Both courses will have arrows and chalk.
Q7: Is this a point series? And if so, how will points be awarded? A7: Racers will get the most points for their best finishes. 1st place 100 points, 2nd place 95, etc. See chart below.

  1. Why is there a large gap between april’s race and the last 3 races.

  2. Because It’s to hot in ASRA OHV area in the summer months and we don’t want to step on other DH series like Northstars DH series. Plus there nothing going on in the fall for DH racing.

  3. I understand that no license is required, but would we need a license to race under pro/vet pro class?

  4. No license. All the riders know who is who in DH racing and who should be racing Pro-Expert and who is sand bagging. Plus I run a racer check of all the racers before and after the event is over that race in the sport, expert, Pro.

  5. What are the categories on the registration? As for as category numbers to ability class.
