The Tahoe Sierra 50 & 100 will start and finish at Ice Lakes Lodge and NOT Soda Springs Resort due to some changes in the area. This does not change anything in the way of the course.
What it does change is the setting, it’s like no other. The rustic lodge overlooks Serene lakes, with its 22 rooms, full bar and great eatery. All being set for us at a very low price, so get in now before the rooms are gone. Just let them know you are with the Tahoe Sierra 100.
The trail crews will be out all week on the course and the three single track sections taking care and removing allot of rock so that there is not much bike and hike and it’s smooth sailing.
The new course has allot of changes from last year and the moon dust will be half of what it was last year.
Sorry about the course taking so long, but due to my spine and back injury it’s slowed things down a bit, but I am back walking again. Please feel free to bring your kids and family as there is a great lake there along with a boats to rent and there is so much to do with all the lakes in the area. The great town of Truckee is only 10 miles away.
We will have up dates at all the check points every two hours and they will be posted on the website and at the finish area. Feel free to rent a home at Serene Lakes with fellow racers at a group rate with http://www.castlepeak.com rentals as low as $325 for two days. As of today, the race is at 178 racers and should fill at 300.
